Based in the west of Pretoria we supply a full range of adaptors, batteries, cable cutters, wires, circuit breakers, control and earth leakage devices, enclosures, fuses, insulated lugs, lamps and light fittings, measuring instruments, PVC conduit, relays, switches, sockets, tools, torches, trunking and welding plugs. History and Milestones
Tshwane Motlhagase Distributors, previously known as Pretoria Electrical Wholesalers, origins date back to 1961 when Louis Mazzuchetti purchased the company from Robert Murdock who had owned the business since 1916. The business was known as PECO.
Louis Mazzuchetti built the business into a thriving enterprise.
In 1973, his eldest son joined the business as Financial Director.
PECO continued to operate as an electrical contracting business until a decision was taken to cease operations in 2014.
In 1982, Mario Mazzuchetti opened Pretoria Electrical Wholesalers (PEW) as a specialist electrical wholesaler specialising in light industry and Motor Controlgear.
In 2004, Pretoria Electrical Wholesalers (PEW) reinvented itself under a new company name Tshwane Motlhagase Distributors or TMD. TMD has continued to grow since then evolving into the company that it is today.
The directors are Mario Mazzuchetti, Elias Mati and Joshua Chuene.
TMD is a distributor of CBI products, Eaton, Hellerman Tyton, Perelec, Pratley, Schneider Electric as well as being a general supplier of all popular brands of electrical goods for light and heavy industry contractors, hardware and general public.
